Part-Time Non-Profit Grants Writer/Manager (up to 24 hours/week)

Are you passionate about helping individuals and families in need through grant-writing and non-profit fundraising? Arm In Arm—a trusted community nonprofit serving Mercer County, NJ for 45 years—is seeking a part-time Development Grants Manager to play a vital role in advancing our mission. We fight food insecurity, provide homelessness prevention services and driver’s license restoration services, and empower thousands of families annually to thrive. We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Development Grants Manager to oversee the full grant lifecycle, from identifying funding opportunities to writing compelling proposals and managing grant reporting.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support programs that prevent homelessness and combat food insecurity.
- Research and craft compelling grant proposals to secure financial support from foundations, corporations, and government sources in support of our mission.
- Manage the grant lifecycle, including submissions, tracking, reporting, and compliance.
- Support donor relations and assist in crafting impactful communication materials like annual reports and fundraising appeals
- Collaborate with a dynamic small team to develop fundraising strategies, donor communications, and community outreach materials.
Who You Are:
- A skilled writer with a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field (or 2-3 years of relevant experience).
- Experienced in grant writing, fundraising, and non-profit donor relations.
- Organized and proficient in grant management software (e.g., Donor Perfect).
- A strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Compassionate, culturally aware, and committed to serving diverse communities.
- Passionate about community service and eager to make a direct impact on families in crisis.
