MLK Day Of Service

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated annually on the third Monday of every January as a way to celebrate the life of The Rev. Dr. King, and to promote service throughout the nation.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy charges us all to do what we can for our communities.

The pandemic has presented challenges to our traditional service model, so we came up with new and creative ways for you, your co-workers, family, friends and neighborhood to help support Arm In Arm’s mission.

Just last month, Arm In Arm provided food to more than 3,200 families, and offered housing assistance to 40 more. The pandemic has caused an ever-growing need in Mercer County, and, with your help, Arm In Arm is responding.

After all, we are, truly, better together.

Please consider supporting our community through one of the following opportunities:

Volunteer at one of our three pantries!

Join staff and other volunteers in Trenton
and Princeton to sort goods, bag groceries,
and hand them out to our community members.
This is a safe opportunity— masks are required,
and face guards, gloves, and hand sanitizer are available onsite.

volunteer opportunities. If you would like

to volunteer in Princeton, please

Participate in our annual Valentines for Food Drive!

For 17 years, our community has come together to share the love during our Valentines for Food campaign. This year, we’re doing things a little differently.

Throughout the month of February, donate food at participating schools, churches or businesses, participate in our virtual Valentine’s for Food Drive, contribute to our food pantry budget, and/or share about these efforts online. When you participate, you spread a whole lot of love, and we’re grateful.

Donate to fund our efforts within the community

More people than ever are coming to Arm In Arm’s doors for support with food, housing, and utilities. The pandemic has hit our community hard, and the financial support of our generous donors allows us to meet the need of every family that comes to our doors.

Generous contributions from our donors make all the difference to our community. Truly, every dollar counts, and every gift helps– we are truly better together.
