There has been a recent change in federal law that ends the extra temporary benefits known as SNAP Emergency Allotments. This means SNAP food assistance recipients will receive their regular SNAP benefit starting March 1, 2023. The minimum monthly SNAP benefit in New Jersey is now $50. A letter will be sent to affected SNAP recipients, informing them of their new benefit amount. Please click here for the press release.
