ARM IN ARM RECEIVES A $10,000 GRANT FROM TRUIST FOUNDATION

TRENTON, NJ (December 14, 2021) – Arm In Arm announced the award of a $10,000 grant from Truist Foundation in support of its License to Succeed program. Operating within Arm In Arm’s broader Workforce Development program, License to Succeed serves a low-income population by assisting community members to restore or obtain driver’s licenses, a key requirement for many employment opportunities and an advantage in attaining higher wages. The ultimate goal of the program is to see clients find stable employment, and a driver’s license is often the final element to full job readiness. By addressing the needs for administrative support and financial grants to pay off a ticket or fine, or start a monthly payment plan with the NJ MVC or municipal courts, licenses are restored and new employment opportunities become viable options. As Executive Director, David Fox shared, “Our clients are at the low end of the economic spectrum. For them, a minimal ticket or fine can be insurmountable, leading to the loss of a driver’s license. We are grateful to Truist Foundation for supporting our work to help low-income neighbors achieve financial stability and independence by opening up job possibilities that would otherwise be beyond their reach.”
